  1. Harry's rubbery arm makes me laugh every single time I read this chapter! I also like the way Lockhart is so smooth and covers up his every mistake: "That sometimes happens" and things like that.

How does everyone feel about Quidditch? I find the games tiresome and tend to skim through all those chapters. At first I thought it was all a big ploy to get boys reading the books more, but now I know better.

  2. Oh I LOVE Quidditch. It's probably my favorite non plot centric part of the books and I really missed it there at the end. I love reading it, and I love watching it even more. I mean...if we had Quidditch, I might actually be interested in sports. This game is just too freaking exciting to NOT watch!

  3. fiddleheads, you're right that Lockhart has an excuse for everything. He changes his story as often as he curls his hair, too. Witness his comments when Mrs. Norris was petrified. "She's dead!" "Oh, too bad I wasn't here, I could have prevented that." "She's not dead, she's petrified." "I knew it!" If he knew ir, why didn't he say so at first, instead of waiting until Dumbledore had examined her?

Lockhart is like muggles, in that those who are good at excuses, are seldom good at anything else.
