On the train, when they first encounter Lupin, his bag says Professor RJ Lupin, in peeling letters. Are we to assume that Lupin has taught elsewhere? Or that he is so poor/shabby that he has to buy second-hand letters for his bag?
Lupin's appearance, specifically his clothing, bugs me throughout the books. Surely he could use some magic to repair the tears in his cloak. He's not impoverished while at Hogwarts.
About the chocolate...as my sister-in-law says, "How does one nourish the soul, if not with chocolate?"
Doesn't eating chocolates release endorphins which gives one a "feel good" feeling? If the dementors drain happiness, I suppose the chocolate puts it back.
because even in this world chocolate is comfort food!
ReplyDeleteI thought chocolate cured everything...except obesity...
